This post basically one long digital sigh of relief.
Last night was the first time I've gotten a full nights sleep in a long time.
A month ago, Sara and I took on the task of renovating the apartment across the hall, and since that day, it's been night after late night of moving the old tenants crap out and down, organizing and moving our stuff, painting the new place, spackling, caulking, and doing TONS of minor repairs.
Beyond that, there were also some major renovations to be done, including replacing the bathroom vanity, the entire kitchen floor, the kitchen faucet, and scrubbing down what must have been a decade of filth from every surface in the apartment.
As of last night, we're officially done with all the hard stuff. All
that's left now is a minor leak under the sink in the kitchen and some
cleanup. We wish we'd taken some before pictures, but the "after" will
have to do for now. Excuse the mess - We're still putting out stuff in and
getting it where we want it to be!
