Installation instructions:

1. You should already have the latest version of blosxom (2.0 rc2) installed and running plus the following plug-ins: categories, calendar, writebacks, file, and breadcrumbs. 2. Download the photoblosxom flavor pack and unzip it. 3. Contained inside the data_directory folder are files to be placed within the $datadir specified in your blosxom script (content_type.phblox, date.phblox, head.phblox, story.phblox, foot.phblox, content_type.wrb, date.wrb, head.wrb, story.wrb, foot.wrb, writeback.wrb, head.trackback). Before uploading these files to your server you’ll need to edit and customize a few of them. 4. Open both the head.phblox and the head.wrb files in your favorite text editor. The first thing you’ll need to change is the location of your stylesheet(s) and, if you wish, change the default. Find the line which reads: and replace “http://yoursite/” with the absolute path to the location where you will be storing your stylesheet(s). Do the same for each of the alternate stylesheet links. If you wish to change the default stylesheet to phblox2.css or phblox3.css, now would be a good time to do so. Make sure that you change both head.phblox and head.wrb. 5. Again, for both head.phblox and head.wrb, find those lines which contain $file::filename and replace “filename” with the name of the file containing the appropriate text. 6. You can now upload the files contained within data_directory to your Blosxom $datadir. 7. The files contained within the document_root folder can be placed within any web addressable directory, but it must be the same directory that you used in step 4. I suggest that you place these files in the root of your server’s document directory (eg, /htdocs). 8. Try it out by pointing your browser at “http://yoursite/path/to/weblog/index.phblox”. 9. Finally, if you wish to make the phblox flavor your default you can either 1.) change the default flavor in your blosxom script, or 2.) rename all of the *.phblox files to *.html. You shouldn’t need to rename the *.wrb files.

Licensing and Such::

Basically, there is none. I’m releasing the stylesheets, the flavor templates, and the associated images into the public domain, so feel free to do whatever you would like with them. Use them as is, modify them beyond recognition, pass them along to your friends, or keep them to yourself. It’s certainly not a requirement, but I’d appreciate it if you would leave a comment here letting me know that you’re using one of my designs. And a link might be nice.
